Comfort Meets Chic: Why You Need Octavius Marks Clogs for Your Fall Fashion Lineup

I cannot stop wearing my Octavius Marks On Fire clogs. They’ve quickly become my go-to shoe for almost every occasion—whether I’m heading out for drinks with friends or running errands. These shoes strike the perfect balance between comfort and chic style. I’ve paired them with everything from jeans to dresses, and every time I step out in my lemon pod clogs, the compliments come rolling in—even at the DMV. And you know it’s a big deal when even the grumpy people in line at the DMV take notice! These clogs have quickly become one of the best purchases in my closet.

As it turns out, I’m not the only one obsessing over clogs lately. According to Google Trends, searches for "clogs" have surged over the past month, reflecting a resurgence in interest for this classic footwear style (Google Trends, 2024). Fashion stylist Braun-Silva even mentioned on Good Morning America that clogs are stepping back into the spotlight this fall. “Clogs are becoming a go-to shoe for fashionistas looking for both comfort and style,” she says. This aligns with what I’ve been seeing—clogs are the perfect solution for when you want to avoid the pain of heels but still channel that effortless girl-next-door vibe. There’s truly a pair of clogs for every occasion, and for me, it’s the Octavius Marks On Fire clogs that have turned every street into my runway.

I first stumbled upon my OM New York clogs during a late-night Instagram scroll. When I came across the "Octavius Marks On Fire" special drop, a collaboration with the brand Lemons On Fire, it was love at first tap. The silver rhinestones immediately caught my eye—because let’s face it, a star like me needs to sparkle. But what really grabs everyone else’s attention is the silver foot skeleton graphic outlined on the bright yellow base of the shoe. And the color! The designers should have named the shade "Fresh Lemons." It’s vibrant, playful, and practically screams personality.

What makes this purchase even better is that both Octavius Marks New York and Lemons On Fire are Black-owned small businesses. In my fashion universe, supporting Black designers and small businesses is like hitting the lottery. This was my first introduction to both brands, and I was thoroughly impressed from start to finish—even down to the packaging, which was so stunning I kept the box as art for my fashion bookshelf.

I find myself reaching for these clogs 70 percent of the time, usually paired with a thick pair of socks at the airport. I call it my “airport comfort combo”—these clogs are so easy to slip off during the hassle of TSA security, making them the perfect travel companion. The other 30 percent of the time, you’ll find me styling them with my signature feminine streetwear look. Just the other day, I wore my lemon clogs to a Hip Hop trivia night with my girls, pairing them with a light-wash denim halter top and matching denim midi skirt from Target. I accessorized with futuristic sunglasses from the Lorvae x JT collab—because every detail counts.

After falling head over heels for these OM New York clogs, I couldn’t resist browsing for more pieces. My debit card is definitely in danger. The cream-colored shirt with the word "Lemons" written in a colorful logo—worn by the owner of Lemons On Fire—immediately caught my attention. If it were up to me, they’d drop it in a sweatshirt or hoodie version for fall. Cozy streetwear always has a place in my heart. Meanwhile, OM New York’s brown cow-print Montbeliarde clogs have me drooling. I can already picture myself pairing them with a dark-wash denim set and their Humans at War belt—because fashion is best when it sends a message.

Though my beloved Octavius Marks On Fire clogs are no longer available for purchase, you should definitely keep an eye on both brands for your fall wardrobe. Imagine strutting into your next Starbucks run in a pair of OM New York clogs or cozying up in a Lemons On Fire hoodie with flames outlined in pinks, blues, and other pops of color. Trust me, you’ll have all eyes on you. Let me know which pieces catch your eye and how you decide to style them this season!
